Trunk-or-Treat

Last night was our ward trunk-or-treat. I only snapped a few pictures of my kids. I should have taken some of the other great costumes that were there. We ate yummy soups and had lots of fun!!
Maddie as the Witch, Jackson as Harry Potter, Aidan as a Pirate, and Boston as Pooh Bear.

Maddie is so funny, weeks ago I asked her what she wanted to be for Halloween and she didn't know. I was telling her about some witch stuff I have, and she wrinkled up her nose and said no. She would just wear an old pair of my scrubs and be a Dr. Yesterday as we were getting ready the kids were going through the costume box and Maddie found all the witch stuff and went nuts!! She told me she didn't know I had that witch stuff, and she really wanted to wear it. So we found an old black skirt and old black shirt and improvised. If the stinker would have told me weeks ago we could have got her a fun witches dress!!!

Jackson as Harry Potter. When I asked Jackson what he wanted to be his answer was Harry Potter, or his Clone that he was last year. I looked a few places for a Harry Potter costume, but didn't find anything. I was going to have to go to a "costume" store. We have had this costume since Jackson was in Kindergarten and was Harry Potter. He wanted to try it on just for fun. The sleeves are a little short, but its the one he wanted to wear!! Works for me, saves me the moolah on a new costume!!:)

Aidan as a Pirate. Aidan has been so excited to wear this costume!! Actually he may have just been excited to carry the accessories!! He had lots of fun with the sword and looking through the spyglass!!!

Boston as cute little Pooh Bear. Boston was more of a problem this year. My costume box is full of costumes that he could wear, but he hated them all!! I had a frog that he tried on and he looked at himself and screamed. I have a cute monkey.... same thing. He wanted to be Sheriff Woody. I started looking at costumes and they are HUGELY overpriced!! I have the Levis and cowboy boots and was about to set out on a Goodwill hunt for a shirt, etc. when we came across Pooh Bear in the costume box, and he actually liked it!! HOORAY!! I think what sold him was the voice box in the hand of the costume. If you squeeze it the costume talks like Pooh Bear, and he loved it!!

We had a great time with our friends at the church, and we got enough candy that come tomorrow we will be relaxing in front of the TV instead of out trick or treating. Although it's supposed to be 68 tomorrow, so maybe we'll have to go out anyway!! I love Halloween in NM!!;)
